Located just north of Lake Como, formerly a fishing village, Domaso has preserved intact over time the characteristics of its past history: the historic center is characterized by narrow streets and steep alleys.
Today is one of the major tourist centers of the lake, surely the most hospitable as the number of admissions. Thanks largely to its location extending into the lake and the breeze called Short , which blows constantly in the summer, Domaso has become a paradise for lovers of all sports sailing in Europe. The main advantages of this are the constant breeze intensity and strength ideal for windsurfing. Is magnificent setting of the mountains that surround the town. The area offers numerous places and various climbing routes for mountain biking and trekking in the quiet of ancient forests that together with the mountain peaks and numerous mountain lakes offer unique landscapes.
